Alert on Fraudulent Whatsapp Group and Fraudulent Website
EFG Bank AG Hong Kong Branch (the “Bank”) alerts its clients and members of the public of a fraudulent Whatsapp Group and fake websites which are using the Bank’s logo without authorization. These Whatsapp group and fake websites have no affiliation with the Bank whatsoever.

The Bank strongly urges clients and members of the public NOT TO:
- Click on the fake websites
- Communicate through either channel
- Provide any personal or other sensitive information via either channel; or
- Download any files from either channel.
Clients and members of the public who have been added to the Whatsapp group, should use the block and report function.
The case has been reported to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Hong Kong Police Force for investigation.
Clients who may have provided sensitive information or have conducted any transactions through the abovementioned channels are advised to immediately report the case to the Hong Kong Police Force and contact the Bank at +852 2298 3000 for immediate verification.
