EFG International is today announcing the nomination of André Prüm as the new Chair of the Board of Directors of its subsidiary EFG Bank (Luxembourg) S.A., effective 01 January 2026. He will succeed Yves Maas, who is stepping down as Chair to take on the role of CEO of EFG Bank (Luxembourg) S.A. on the same date. Lena Lascari will retire from her current operational role as CEO of EFG’s Luxembourg subsidiary, which she has held since 2019, and will remain a member of the Board. In addition, Pascal Julliard has been appointed as Deputy CEO and Head of Private Banking Luxembourg, effective 01 October 2025, and will report directly to the CEO of EFG Bank (Luxembourg) S.A.

André Prüm is Professor of Law at the University of Luxembourg, where he holds the Chair in Financial and Business Law and was the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance. He is qualified as French Law professor (Professeur agrégé des Facultés de droit de France). During his distinguished career, he has served as Legal Counsel to the government of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg and was responsible for drafting major reforms to Luxembourg’s business law. André Prüm is a member of the Luxembourg bar association (avocat-avoué). He is also President of the Luxembourg Arbitration Association and sits as an arbitrator in national and international litigation cases.

Yves Maas has been Chair of the Board of EFG Bank (Luxembourg) S.A. since 25 April 2024. In his new role as CEO, he will be responsible for leading the overall growth strategy of EFG’s strategic hub in Luxembourg and in Continental Europe through its branches in Portugal and Greece. Yves Maas is a highly respected figure within the European banking industry. He spent a large part of his career at Credit Suisse, where he held senior positions, including serving as Managing Director of International Private Banking Operations and as CEO and Country Head of Credit Suisse Luxembourg. In 2017, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Credit Suisse Luxembourg, a post he held until February 2024. Yves Maas also served as Chairman of the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL) from 2014 to 2018.

Lena Lascari has been the CEO of EFG Bank (Luxembourg) SA since 2019. She joined EFG in 2014, when she became a member of the Luxembourg Executive Committee and was responsible for further developing the bank’s private banking business with ultra-high-net-worth clients. Since 2017, she had also served as Business Head of EFG Bank (Luxembourg) S.A., overseeing the Private Banking, Asset Management, International Client Services and Investment Solutions business areas in the region. She will retire from the CEO role and remain a member of the Board. With her experience and great dedication, she has been instrumental in developing and leading EFG’s private banking franchise in Luxembourg and beyond. She has very effectively managed to bring the bank on the map and to expand EFG’s footprint and network with the successful openings of the branches in Portugal (Lisbon and Porto) and Greece (Athens). Under her leadership, EFG Luxembourg has also succeeded to substantially contribute to the Group’s profitability. In her role as a member of the Board in Luxembourg, she will continue her strategic guidance to further support our sustainable growth strategy in the region.

Pascal Julliard brings with him 25 years of industry experience and proven leadership skills. As Head of Private Banking and Deputy CEO of EFG Luxembourg, he is responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the business with a particular focus on delivering bespoke solutions for clients and on strengthening client acquisition and retention. Before joining EFG in October 2025, Pascal Julliard served as CEO and Executive Director of HSBC Global Private Bank (Luxembourg) S.A. from 2022 and as Head of Private Banking Luxembourg from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, he spent seven years at HSBC Private Bank in France, as Head of Credit Advisory.
