EFG Art Collection at Saatchi Gallery: The Long Now

The full programme has now been unveiled and in the launch video, pioneering artist Goldie and rising star Lucy-Anne Daniels join Christian Berchem, CEO of EFG Private Bank Ltd, and Festival Director Pelin Opcin to give us a taste of what to expect.

This year's EFG Elements Series is one of the most collaborative yet. On Friday, 13 November, Jazz Voice opens the Festival at the Royal Festival Hall. Hosted by broadcaster Jumoké Fashola, the impressive line-up of soloists includes Melody Gardot, Lizz Wright, Marvin Muoneke, Liv Warfield, Emma Smith, Rita Wilson and James Emmanuel. They will be accompanied by the 40-piece EFG London Jazz Festival Orchestra, led by conductor and arranger Guy Barker.

The other two shows in the EFG Elements Series showcase two of this year’s headliners. Goldie presents Dare to Dream, a bespoke orchestral production created especially for the Festival, with the Elysian Collective choir, a live band and some very special guests. Melody Gardot is one of the most distinctive voices in jazz, and she is joined at the Royal Albert Hall by the London Philharmonic Orchestra alongside trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf and South Africa's Thanda Choir.

Guy Barker returns, together with EFG's classical music partner Sinfonia Smith Square, for The Spirit of Django, an evening celebrating the music of legendary jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt. Over the ten days, the Festival also pays tribute to John Coltrane and Miles Davis, both of whom would have turned 100 this year, by honouring their legacies through a series of dedicated shows.
