A new chapter for Team Malizia

In July 2026, Boris Herrmann and Team Malizia officially launched and christened Malizia 4, their next generation, state-of-the-art IMOCA racing boat. It is an important moment for the team as they gear up for an intense schedule of offshore racing.

The first race for the new boat is The Ocean Race Atlantic, followed by two of the toughest challenges in sport, The Ocean Race 2027 and the Vendée Globe 2028.

A new seven-part docu-series ‘Born to Race: Inside the making of Team Malizia’s next IMOCA’ follows the journey of the design and build, with insights from the team, leading experts and key partners.

EFG celebrates a decade of partnership with Team Malizia

Ten years ago, Team Malizia’s dreams of building a high-performance offshore racing team became a reality, and EFG were on board from the outset.

As we mark a decade of association, we are very pleased to announce the continuation of our partnership to 2030, and we look to the future with the same spirit that has defined the partnership from the start.

My Ocean Challenge

Boris Herrmann and his wife Birte Lorenzen-Herrmann have created ‘My Ocean Challenge’, an inspiring initiative that educates the next generation about the impact of climate change on our oceans. To support this education programme, EFG launched its own volunteering programme in 2022. EFG employees can dedicate one working day per year on full pay to help raise awareness about ocean conservation in schools around the globe.
