Sustainable supply chains: The missing link in the climate transition
As the world races toward net-zero emissions, one powerful lever remains underused: the global supply chain.
Delivering the right returns, the right way
At EFG, we recognise the urgent need to transition to a more sustainable world in alignment with global climate commitments and the UN SDGs. Investments, both public and private, have a key role to play in facilitating and supporting this change. The financing of companies can be a decisive factor in determining whether a business activity with negative or positive impacts takes place. EFG can support this transition as an asset allocator on behalf of our clients: As part of our approach to responsible investing, and in alignment with our fiduciary duty, we increasingly take into account ESG criteria when selecting and managing investments. In this way, we can help to generate positive economic, social and environmental impacts and meet the demand for sustainable finance solutions.
We are a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project). We are also a member of the Swiss Sustainable Finance (SSF) association. These mutually enriching partnerships and frameworks collectively define, assess and face the challenges and opportunities linked to the wide range of issues covered by ESG criteria. For a comprehensive list of our memberships and partnerships, please see pages 35 - 36 of EFG’s Sustainability Report 2024.
