EFG International is announcing today that its Chief Executive Officer, Giorgio Pradelli, has been unanimously elected Chairman of the Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) by the SBA’s Board of Directors. He will succeed Marcel Rohner and assume the role at the Swiss Bankers Day on 17 September 2026. Giorgio Pradelli will continue in his role as CEO of EFG International and will step down from other industry mandates.

Alexander Classen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EFG International, says: "We warmly congratulate Giorgio on his election. His appointment is a recognition of his leadership and experience as well as his outstanding reputation within the Swiss and international banking community."

Giorgio Pradelli comments: "I am honoured by the trust placed in me and am fully aware of the responsibility associated with this role. The Swiss financial centre plays a vital role in the economy and enjoys an international reputation for stability, trust and high-quality service. I look forward to contributing to its continued strength and competitiveness. At the same time, I remain fully committed to my role as CEO of EFG International and to executing our strategic priorities, supported by the strong management team. "

He will remain a member of the Board of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce.
