Professional history and education
Luisa Delgado has 30 years of global executive experience spanning luxury, IT & technology, and banking and is an experienced non-executive board and committee chair and director within the global luxury and retail industries.
Throughout her international career, Luisa Delgado has held a range of executive leadership and senior management positions. She served as CEO of Safilo Group, a global leader in luxury eyewear listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, from October 2013 to March 2018. Prior to that, she was a member of the Global Executive Board of SAP AG. Earlier in her career, she spent over 21 years at Procter & Gamble, holding roles of increasing responsibility, last as local CEO for the Nordic region, and Chief Human Resources Officer for Western Europe. She also held various management positions in the UK, Belgium and Portugal. Furthermore, she served as Vice-Chair of Barclays Bank (Suisse) SA before stepping down to join the Board of Directors of EFG International and EFG Bank.
Luisa Delgado is active in Private Equity as a senior advisor and co-investor, and she is also an independent investor and co-entrepreneur. She is a member of the INSEAD Corporate Governance Council and a sought-after mentor at Chair Mentors International (CMI) for start-ups, and first-time CEOs, board chairs and directors.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Geneva, a Master of Laws (LLM) from King’s College London, a postgraduate Diploma in European Studies from the University Lusíada of Lisbon, and the FT Non-Executive Director Diploma.
