EFG International is announcing today that its Chief Executive Officer, Giorgio Pradelli, has been unanimously elected Chairman of the Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) by the SBA’s Board of Directors. He will succeed Marcel Rohner and assume the role at the Swiss Bankers Day on 17 September 2026. Giorgio Pradelli will continue in his role as CEO of EFG International and will step down from other industry mandates.

Giorgio Pradelli has been CEO of EFG International since 2018 and has more than 35 years of experience in global wealth and asset management. In connection with his election as Chairman of the SBA, Giorgio Pradelli will relinquish several external mandates. In particular, he will step down from the Chairmanship of the Association of Swiss Asset and Wealth Management Banks (VAV), from his role as Chairman of the SBA’s Private Banking Steering Committee, and from the Board of Fondation Genève Place Financière.
He will remain a member of the Board of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce.
