Against this backdrop, the EFG Gamma Foundation hosted an event on the topic “Driving change: The road to success in the luxury industry” on 28 November 2024 at Fondazione Catella in Milan.
With this conference, the EFG Gamma Foundation brought together a number of experts, including Erika Andreetta (EMEA Fashion & Luxury Leader & Partner, PwC Italy), Antonio Picca Piccon (Chief Financial Officer and President of Financial Services, Ferrari), François Arpels (CEO, Korloff), Giuseppe Santoni (Chairman and Executive President, Santoni) and Alain Zimmermann (Global Chief Marketing & Branding Officer, EFG International) to explore the topics of client experience, generational transition and business transformation.
The event offered valuable insights into how luxury goods companies have transformed their business models in line with the transition to a greener circular economy, and it explored how they are harnessing the power of AI to deliver an enhanced client experience. The speakers also discussed how the luxury industry has evolved since the pandemic, outlined the key factors driving an effective generational transition and looked at new ways of gaining a competitive advantage. They also considered the question of whether the luxury sector should be regarded as a benchmark by other industries.
This was the latest in a series of conferences organised by this private foundation supported by EFG to foster knowledge-building and discussions about different topics, particularly from an applied management perspective.
