Reflecting its interest in the evolution of artistic and cultural expression, EFG has partnered with the Peggy Guggenheim Collection (PGC) since 2001.
PGC is one of the most prestigious art collections in the world. It is housed in the stunning Palazzo Venier dei Leoni on the Grand Canal in Venice, which was home to Peggy Guggenheim. The collection features major works of Cubism, Futurism, Metaphysical painting, European abstraction, avant-garde sculpture, Surrealism and American Abstract Expressionism by some of the greatest artists of the 20th century. The museum also contains Peggy Guggenheim’s personal collection, masterpieces from the Hannelore B. and Rudolph B. Schulhof collection, a sculpture garden and temporary exhibitions. One of the temporary exhibition galleries is named after EFG.
In the Americas, EFG is title sponsor of the EFG Latin America Art Award (in partnership with ArtNexus), which was created to support one Latin American artist each year. The artist’s work is pre-selected by a jury at five Latin American contemporary art fairs held throughout the year. The award aims to promote Latin American visual arts and to raise the profile of regional fairs among collectors worldwide.
The winner of the EFG Latin America Art Award is announced at Pinta Miami, the internationally renowned art fair that attracts galleries from around the globe. The fair showcases the best of abstract, concrete, neo-concrete, kinetic and conceptual art movements.
EFG became the Swiss national partner of the Béjart Ballet Lausanne (BBL) in 2018. EFG and BBL share the same values and drive to succeed.
BBL was founded in 1987 by Maurice Béjart, who wanted to bring the world of ballet to a wider audience. Today, BBL is one of the most famous ballet companies in the world and is regarded as a symbol of Swiss excellence. Artistic Director Gil Roman and his 40 dancers share Béjart’s passion for the dance and the creation, and perform all over the world at important events.
BBL Lausanne is one of the few companies able to fill vast spaces such as the NHK Hall in Tokyo, the Kremlin State Palace in Moscow, Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens, the Palais des Congrès de Paris, Forest National in Brussels or the Patinoire de Malley-Lausanne.
